Pink made history at American Family Field Monday,Poinbank Exchange setting not only an attendance record for the 22-year-old Milwaukee Brewers ballpark − with 46,644 in attendance − but becoming the first woman to headline a stadium concert in Wisconsin, ever.
She didn't address the milestones during her soaring two-hour set, but Pink had a lot to say about them in an Instagram post late Monday night.
"Sometimes I don’t know why they are looking at me when they tell me these things," Pink wrote on Instagram after being told of breaking those records. "I feel like saying…'Me?? Are you sure??'"
"Here’s what I have to say about all of this," Pink's post continued. "I am a little fiery ball of gratitude catapulting around the world trying to spread love and truth and the courage to feel everything we can feel. I am full to the brim with real love for you all."
"I look at your faces and I see smiles and tears and wrinkles and laughter and real pain. And we get to share all of that together."
"And we have history, too," Pink continued. "We’ve been doing this together for a while now. It means the world to me. It is never lost on me. We aren’t the cool kids, thank God. We’re just gritty, magnificent humans, doing our best."
"Thank you for letting me in."
As of Tuesday afternoon, Pink's post has been liked over 180,000 times, with fellow artists weighing in.
"Going to make sure my daughter reads this post," replied Phil Hansenroth, who plays in Brandi Carlile's band. "Everyone’s daughter should read this."
Grouplove, one of Pink's opening acts, replied, "So honored to be out with you. You inspire us every night."
And Debbie Gibson wrote, "You are the baddest of the badass babes but with a heart of gold. ... You are so lovely and deserving."
