Nick Cannon has Jamie Foxx on his mind amid the Ray actor's ongoing medical issue.
Nearly two weeks after Jamie's daughter Corinne Foxx shared her father's hospitalization, the Wild ‘n Out star gave an update on how he is doing.
"Man, I'm praying. I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother." Nick told Entertainment Tonight in an interview published April 23, later noting, "He's awake. They say he's alert."
Nick further teased how he's helping Jamie out during this time.
"I know he's doing so much better because I'm actually about to do something special for him, and doing him a favor," he shared. "I can't really say what it is, but it'll be out there soon. I was reluctant to go all the way there, and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it's a beautiful thing."
Earlier this month, Corinne, 29—whom Jamie shares with ex Connie Kline— took to Instagram to announce that her father was on a road to recovery.
"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," she wrote April 12. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers."
At the time, Corinne did not share additional details on Jamie's medical complication. Just two days before, the Just Mercy star had been photographed on the set of his upcoming film Back in Action. (Jamie's co-star Cameron Diaz was seen on set April 17 working with a person who appeared to be a body double for Jamie.)
Since Corinne's announcement, several of the 55-year-old's friends have shared touching words in his honor, including comedian Martin Lawrence.
"I hear he's doing better," Martin told Extra April 20. "My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person."
Meanwhile, Garcelle Beauvais, who starred alongside Jamie in The Jamie Foxx Show, shared a message of well wishes for him.
"This an appreciation post for my friend @iamjamiefoxx," she wrote on Instagram April 13. "J, I love you so much!!! I want & need you to get better soon, sending you light love and prayers."
